Templates
Chronicle, Atoll, Vista, and Terra are Mosaic's designer-made photo book templates.
Mosaic’s public templates are Chronicle, Atoll, Vista, and Terra. Each one is tied to a print product. Page counts move in steps of 2.
| Template | Print product | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Chronicle | Casebound hardcover, catalog size 4×6 | A pocket-sized hardcover for travel journals and everyday moments. |
| Atoll | Casebound hardcover, catalog size 12×8, landscape | A large landscape coffee-table book for big photo stories. |
| Vista | Casebound hardcover, catalog size 10×8, landscape | A mid-size landscape hardcover for travel and everyday photo stories. |
| Terra | Softcover, 6×9 | An affordable softcover for everyday albums and photo collections. |
Sizes
Chronicle’s finished page trim is 105×155 mm (about 4.13×6.10 in). That dieline is confirmed. The catalog still labels the size 4×6.
Atoll’s page trim is 300×205 mm (about 11.81×8.07 in), from the interior die for the 12×8 landscape book.
Vista’s catalog size is 10×8. The print spec treats the trim as 250×200 mm and marks that spec provisional until the printer confirms it.
TODO: Do not treat Vista’s 250×200 mm trim, matte lamination, or 3D UV cover notes as printer-confirmed. printProducts.ts marks the Vista spec provisional.
Terra is a 6×9 softcover with a matte cover and 70 lb uncoated text.
Chronicle and Atoll use the factory 157 g art-paper spine table. Vista’s paper note sits inside the provisional spec, so it is not repeated here as confirmed.
Page counts
Chronicle, Atoll, and Vista are Henan casebound books. The catalog minimum is 80 pages and the catalog maximum is 200. The price formula uses 32 pages as its starting point. That 32-page count is the price anchor, not the shortest book the catalog offers.
Terra’s catalog minimum is 20 pages. The price anchor is 24 pages. The Terra product record does not set a maximum page count.
